Tag the person you’d try this with and turn on the volume for a super speedy headstand tutorial! 🤸🏼♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Secrets 🤫to get your headstand ON LOCK 🔒 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ➕Shoulders should be at the distance where you can just touch each of your elbows ➕GIVE A THUMBS UP (because you believe in yourself 💃and also to stay relaxed) 🧘🏼♀️ ➕Stay strong in the shoulders- they do the majority of the work! ➕No pressure through the neck ➕BREEEATHE! ➕Slow movements ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is something super simple to practice- if a full headstand is too much, practicing holding the tuck is the perfect progression! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I hope this is helpful- I’ll post it to my IGTV as well! LEFT (JULY 2016) 💪🏼Body: 100% 🧘🏼♀️Soul: 0% ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ RIGHT (JULY 2018) 💪🏼Body: 50% 🧘🏼♀️Soul: 50% ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One of the best ways to find happiness and peace is knowing your body inside and out. It’s respecting it, nourishing it, and taking it on a walk every once in a while. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s taking time to get quiet and actually listen. Our bodies hold a lot of wisdom in every cell. I remember hearing this once or twice around the time of the first photo and brushed it off, thinking I could grind HARD and reach my body goals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yes! Bringing your best self to everything you do is important- the energy we put into the present is the best way to create a life filled with miracles! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But… Overriding the wisdom just waiting to bust out of your cells by rushing through life “on the grind” is like walking over a massive starfish on a beach just waiting for you to find it.⭐️🐚🌊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you pay attention to how the foods you eat make you feel, breathe into places of ache in the body, and train your body to compliment the greatness inside, you get into this flow where all sorts of awesome things start taking hold in your life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Listen and your body will thank you for it. Get Excited!! Your body knows all the answers. Trust it 😌
Once upon a time, 🏰😂 as I was finishing high school and getting into resistance training for the first time, I had a distant relative tell me I’d look like a man if I lifted weights. “Girls shouldn’t have muscles,” he said. LOL 🤪 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The lesson of this random story is to train, eat, and feel exactly what you want for no one except for yourself. Can you imagine how exhausting it would be to try to follow every trend or listen to every piece of advice that was ever given to you? This is important! As much as we may protest, the only force responsible for your reality is YOU. ☀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ By choosing to be exactly who YOU desire to be (your best self) you are choosing to be happy right now. It’s a huge form of self worth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On another note, 21s are the bomb. Upper, lower, and then full range of motion for 7 reps each: The goal is to completely fatigue the muscle! It’s been a go-to bicep exercise of mine for years! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What does your best self feel like, eat like, act like, and speak like? Just a lil thing think about this Monday ☺️ and isn’t it exciting, because YOU get to choose!

Is #celebrationsunday a thing?? Let’s make it a thing!🎉💃 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ☀️All moments are extraordinary, but sometimes, we get smacked by a wave of happiness which makes us want to say, “Wow. What is my life?! I’m HYPED AND GRATEFUL AND HAVE ALL THE FEELS.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It might have been a person, place, or event which took place that filled you with so much joy. My friend hit a PR; a celebration of drive, perseverance, fuelling his body to be like a warrior, and believing in himself! Even the small moments like these which lead up to his PR should be celebrated! There are no ordinary moments 😌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Don’t ignore the things that make you want to celebrate! Make time to do more of these things this week and see where it leads! We often chase achievements, but what would happen if we instead chased a certain feeling? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Really stellar things, I think. 😊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Comment a celebration, big or small from your week! It might look like this:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▪️Sleep, wake up, sit in the car on the way to work, sit at work, sit in the car on your way home, sit to eat dinner, sit on the couch to watch TV, and go to sleep. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sitting makes our glutes weak and can cause lower back or hip pain, which is why they need to be given a bit of extra love when we exercise!
