Hi, I’m Mikaila!
I’m passionate about raising your vibrations and energy through fitness, nutrition, and reflection: To radiate positivity from the inside-out.
Stepping into your most vibrant, energetic being requires both mental and physical training; thinking with a mindset geared towards growth, exercising your body for an improved quality of living, and fuelling your journey with feel-great foods.
It all starts on the inside. The concepts you challenge your mind with, the knowledge you possess about your body and how to train effectively for your goals, and how you choose to nourish your adventures.
My goal is to build a community of support in a world filled with opportunities to build the highest, happiest version of ourselves; from the Inside-Out.
And what the heck, let’s throw in a few facts!
1) I’m a commerce student and have had a passion for entrepreneurship since I was 9 years old. I wanted to buy my brother Nintendogs for Christmas, but as a nine year old, one’s disposable income is essentially limited to birthday money, which I had, unfortunately, blown on penny candies at the ice cream store down the street. So, I used the only resource I could think of in attempt to make money: My obsession with dolphins and the unusually extensive knowledge which I possessed about them.
I decided to teach dolphin classes, which entailed a $10 entrance fee, homemade typewriter tests, report cards, and possibly even a towel graduation carpet. My parents were good sports.
2) I started my fitness journey in 2013 after a childhood filled with sports. I began a Fitness Lifestyle Instagram in 2017, where I post adventures of dancing through life, mostly in my kitchen.
3) I grew up figure skating, playing soccer, and ballroom dancing. I’m a firm believer that daily physical activity is one of the best ways to channel your highest self and be truly in the present.
4) I’ve had 6 concussions, the most recent of which took me out of sports completely. However, I am a strong advocate of “everything happens for a reason”- In my story, it provided an opportunity to invest time in self growth and reflection on what I defined “happiness” and “success” as, as well as sparking a passion for nutrition and cooking (I took a culinary course when I withdrew from school for a semester to allow myself to heal). I found a channel of mindfulness; a place of “flow”, to be through re-gaining physical capability in the gym, and fell into a lifestyle which I adore and continues to encourage me to grow, mentally and physically.
No matter where you are in your self-growth or fitness journey, know that you are exactly where you need to be. Trust in yourself, because looking back, your younger self had every strength he/she needed to step into your current, vibrant self. Your current self has this radiance and energy, as well. Trust in yourself, and recognize the opportunities in the present moment. 🙂
