ANTI INFLAMMATORY PIÑA COLADA SOFT SERVE FROSTY(Whey and Vegan Versions)

After intense workouts, I sometimes notice my stomach, fingers, and legs become inflamed. Bromelain, an enzyme present in pineapple, is an amazing anti-inflammatory which does wonders for returning the body to normal!

Anti-swelling, anti-bruising, and the filled with the flavours of summer! Adding rum extract to the shake is super tasty as well!

In a blender, combine:

WITH PROTEIN POWDER

  • 1 scoop vanilla whey powder
  • 250 mL (1 cup) Unsweetened Cashew Milk or Almond Milk
  • 140 g (approx 1 cup) frozen pineapple (You can either freeze your own OR purchase it frozen- check that there are no added sugars!)
  • 7.5 g (1 tbsp) unsweetened shredded coconut
  • optional: 1/2 tsp xanthan gum (this results in a super creamy soft-serve textrure)
  • optional stevia, rum and vanilla extracts to taste
